Your portrait will be captured in your work, home, or another environment. I come to you so that you can be more comfortable in a familiar environment, which will yield a more natural portrait. Other locations are available but may result in a location fee for use of that area or facility.

 

Do You Retouch?

Yes, we do! Standard retouching on portraits includes improving skin texture, removing blemishes, under eye darkness or puffiness, brighten your smile and eyes, and smoothing of wrinkles and lines.

 

How Long will the Photography Session Take?

After initial on location setup, (usually 30 minute setup time) the session time will depend on which package you chose (see package pricing) and if there are last minutes changes to the photography session. For women, to shorten the time of the photography session, please arrive camera ready with your hair, makeup and proper attire ready to shoot. For men, please arrive shaven (as appropriate) hair styled, as you like and proper attire.

 

When Will I Get My Headshots?

After your professional sitting, your proof images will be uploaded to a password-protected web gallery for your selection of the image(s). In most cases, you will have a link to your online gallery in 24-48 hours. In most cases, you will have the link in less time. After you have selected your two professional images, basic professional facial retouching is applied to the selected images are electronically delivered to you. A one-day rush service is available for an additional fee.

 

What Can I Expect in the Photography Session?

During the photography session, we will stop to review the images to check for your approval and adjust clothing or poses to meet your satisfaction.

 

What Attire Should I Wear to My Headshot?

Please think about how these images will be used once you get them. Sometimes it best to keep things simple when it comes to clothing and accessories, dark colors work best for both men and women because it will allow your face to stand out in the final image. Try to avoid bright patterns, because the patterns may draw the viewer’s attention away from your face. Other things to avoid: Christmas ties, or your first tie you bought 20 years ago, plunging necklines or bright loud patterns, logos (unless appropriate). Jewelry is important to some people, earrings, necklaces or broaches are great but try to keep it small and simple. Remember, you want people see the most important thing in the image…your face.

 

What Should I Bring to the Photography Session?

Bring samples of the headshots styles you like. If your company has specific requirements for your headshot, please share those so I can make sure you get what you need.

 

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Time has been reserved for your session if you need to cancel I will need at least 24-hour notice prior to your appointment. This will enable me to offer your time to another client. Unfortunately, if I do not have sufficient notice, I reserved the option to bill you for the full amount of the photography session. I sincerely appreciate your consideration in honouring the cancellation policy.
